Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how gahm, a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea (“gahm”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the gahm mobile app and website (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

gahm is a digital closet and outfit-styling app: you add photos of clothes you own, our system cuts each item out into a clean cutout, and you mix-and-match and save outfits.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information. Your email address and the display name you set. Authentication runs through Amazon Cognito and the sign-in method you choose — Email, Sign in with Google, or Sign in with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only Apple’s private relay address.
  • Content you add. Photos of clothing you upload, the garment cutouts our system generates from them, related details (category, color, item name), and the outfits (“looks”) you compose and save.
  • Photos of you (virtual try-on). If you use the virtual try-on feature, the photo you upload or capture of yourself — which may include your face and body — so we can preview a garment on your own image. We store these as standard image files only. We do not extract, generate, or store any biometric identifiers, face templates, or facial geometry from your photos.
  • Subscription & purchase data. If you subscribe in the app, the purchase is processed by Apple and we receive your entitlement / renewal status (via RevenueCat) — we do not receive or store your full payment-card details. If you purchase through our website, payment is processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.
  • Device & usage data. Device model, operating system, app version, language preference, a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), and in-app events used to operate and improve the Service (analytics via PostHog).
  • Support communications. Anything you send us when you contact support.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health, precise location, or biometrics). Please do not upload photos containing other people or sensitive information.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • to provide the core features — store your closet, generate garment cutouts, and let you build and save outfits;
  • to create and secure your account and authenticate you;
  • to process and manage your subscription and entitlements;
  • to send notifications you have enabled and respond to support requests;
  • to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
  • to prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with law.

3. AI Processing of Your Photos

gahm uses automated AI for two features:

  • Garment cutouts — when you add a clothing photo, it is processed to detect each garment and cut it out onto a clean background.
  • Virtual try-on — when you try a garment on, the photo of yourself that you provide (which may include your face) and the garment cutout are combined into a preview of you wearing that item.

To do this, the relevant images are sent to OpenAI’s image API for processing. OpenAI acts as our service provider and processes the images solely to return the result to us. Images sent through OpenAI’s API are not used to train OpenAI’s models, and we do not use your photos to train any models of our own. We send images only to provide these features to you — never for advertising, profiling, or building user profiles. OpenAI’s own handling of data is also governed by its privacy and data-usage policies. See our separate Data Policy for what is processed and how long it is kept.

Face data. The only face data gahm collects is the ordinary photograph of yourself that you choose to upload or capture for virtual try-on, which may contain your face. We use it solely to generate your try-on preview. To create that preview, the photo is sent to OpenAI’s image API as described above; it is stored in private, per-user cloud storage on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3), encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not use face data for identification, authentication, advertising, profiling, or model training, and we do not derive, generate, or store any biometric identifier, faceprint, face template, or facial geometry from it. Your try-on photo is retained only until you delete it in the app or delete your account, at which point it is removed from our systems.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, authentication (Cognito), database (DynamoDB), and private file storage (S3);
  • OpenAI — AI garment-detection, cutout generation, and virtual try-on image processing (see §3);
  • Apple — in-app purchases and subscription billing;
  • RevenueCat — subscription / entitlement management;
  • Lemon Squeezy — payment processing / Merchant of Record for website purchases;
  • Google / Apple — sign-in providers, if you use them;
  • PostHog — product analytics;
  • Email / communication providers — to send Service-related messages.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can delete any individual photo at any time using the delete option in the app. When you delete your account, the photos you uploaded (including your try-on selfie), your closet content, outfits, and account profile are deleted from our systems, except where we must retain limited records for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • In-app deletion. You can delete your account from the app (Account menu → Delete account), which permanently removes your closet and saved outfits.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing.
  • To exercise any right, email us at hello@huzlee.com. We honor unsubscribe and deletion requests promptly.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including per-user access scoping and storage that is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

We are based in the Republic of Korea and our service providers operate in various countries, including the United States. Your information may be processed outside your country. We take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
